BIRHANU ABISA

Birhanu holds the position of an Information Management Officer, based in Ethiopia. His primary responsibility centers on generating humanitarian information products via HIST, specifically in the Oromia region. With a robust professional background spanning more than 7 years, Birhanu brings a wealth of experience in information management to his role. Prior to joining iMMAP Inc., he served as an Information Management Assistant with an international organization for migration (IOM) in Ethiopia for a period exceeding a year. In addition to this, Birhanu contributed his expertise for over 6 years each with organizations including Plan International Ethiopia, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and government entities focusing on Agriculture. His work encompassed various facets of information management, data management, and information technology. Birhanu's academic credentials encompass a bachelor’s degree in computer science, earned from Maddawallabu University in Ethiopia. Linguistically, Birhanu possesses proficiency in multiple languages, including English, Amharic, and his mother tongue, Afan Oromo..

DAWIT RETTA

Dawit Retta serves as an Information Management Capacity Building Officer (IMO) at iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia. He is responsible for developing training and session plans (face-to-face, online platform (edX), and webinar), setting goals, and defining objectives for humanitarian capacity-building programs.
With a wealth of experience gained from various positions at organizations like Tulane International Ethiopia, ICAP, MSIE, and educational institutions, Dawit has a solid background in supporting numerous humanitarian and development initiatives, as well as governmental health institutions.
Academically, Dawit holds a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Health Informatics from Addis Ababa University, along with a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Computer Science from the same university in Ethiopia.
